But you will find a lot more to do in Laguna Niguel than shopping and eating! With the abundance of open spaces and the draw of the art crowd, there is always something new to see.

Once you visit the Niguel Botanical Preserve, you will want to return time and again. Here you will view not only native Southern California fauna but plantings from around the world that live within a similar climate. Every Sunday morning from 8 to noon, stop for local fruits and veggies as well as dairy and meat products at the Laguna Niguel Farmers' Market held at Plaza de La Paz. Note that only local certified farmers of the Orange County Farm Bureau are allowed to take part in local farmers' markets.

For the adventurist sole, you may want to take a trip off the coast to go whale watching. Make reservations for one of the daily cruises from nearby Laguna Beach. Check the schedule ahead of time, and dress appropriately for offshore weather conditions.
