For a more formal dinner visit Miro's for modern European-inspired cuisine or Mr. Lyons Steakhouse. Melvyn's Restaurant and Lounge serves traditional American cuisine in an elegant setting and features live music in the lounge.

Zin American Bistro offers California-style American comfort food and a wine selection with optional patio dining. The Bistro is located in the La Plaza de California shopping center. The Plaza offers a variety of stores and shops and even a hookah bar for guests to visit. That is just one of the many shopping centers that line Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs shopping district. Other popular shopping centers include Smoke Tree Village, Plaza del Sol, and Sun Center Shopping Center

When you are ready to relax with your friends, Hair of the Dog is a popular hangout spot. You could also check out the Bootlegger Tiki Bar, or Oscar's Downtown Cocktail Bar. You can even try your luck at Agua Caliente Casino.


Things to Do

Take advantage of the perfect Palm Springs weather and go for a walk at the historic Moorten Botanical Gardens. The gardens first opened in 1938. Boomer's amusement center is a great place to take the kids for mini golf, bumper boats, go-karts, and arcade games. At Tahquitz Canyon, hike the trail to a waterfall and enjoy the rock art. End the active day with a visit to Paradise Thai Spa for luxury treatments and a massage.

There is an assortment of neighborhood and pocket parks scattered across Palm Springs. At DeMuth Park, there is a playground to enjoy, tennis courts, and youth baseball. Beat the Palm Springs heat with a trip to the Palm Springs Air Museum and learn about the country's history with aircraft. You can also visit the Palm Springs Art Museum to check out the latest exhibits.
