Many of them are centrally located and easily accessible on Highway 111, the unofficial Coachella Valley retail corridor. Highway 111 lines up with El Paseo through Palm Desert and anything you do not find on the highway you will likely find on El Paseo, the fashion district of Palm Desert. While you are out, be sure to check out The Shops of Palm Desert, The President's Plaza East and West, and the Palms to Pines shopping center for an array of unique boutique shops and department stores with designer threads. Those should get you a nice start on your shopping list, and do not forget El Paseo Fashion Week.
Get out and enjoy the amazing California weather and find some activities to keep you busy. The community clubhouses offer tennis courts, swimming pools, and golf to keep you active, and several feature fitness centers too. At Civic Center Park you will find Palm Desert's largest park, offering tennis courts, soccer fields, a picnic area, and a pavilion for outside concert events. Take a hike on the Homestead Trailhead and enjoy three miles of wildlife and nature.
The Palm Desert Aquatic Center is the place to go to beat the heat. They offer three pools, water slides, and a splash pad. Have a learning experience at the Living Desert Zoo and Garden. Explore the more than 1,000 acres of desert ecosystem and cactus gardens.
